Genomics Unit

This Unit has the mission to provide technological support and expertise for research at the genome scale. It composed by the Genotyping, Gene expression and DNA Sequencing services.

The Genotyping Service offers Sequenom iPLEX technology, allowing rapid SNP genotyping assays with up to forty SNPs assayed simultaneously. This MALDI-TOF based platform is suited for genotyping tens to hundreds of SNPs in several thousand DNA samples. Taqman® Technology in a 384-well format is available to users both for SNP genotyping and Real-Time PCR gene expression.

The Gene expression Service offers High-density array technology for gene expression and genome-wide SNP genotyping using the latest Affimetrix Scanning Station.

DNA Sequencing Service offers DNA sequencing and fragment analysis using both multicapillary and slab-gel electrophoresis with ABI 3130XL and ABI 377.
